Early in the morning on April 1st this year my wife noticed the carpet just outside the entrance to our kitchen had a very damp patch.We had no idea what the cause might be but phoned Mike at Proactive Plumbing after these guys were recommended to us.Saturday is never a great time to need a plumber urgently but Mike promised he would be out within a few hours.Sure enough after inspecting the problem area and having a good poke around at the skirting boards and checking out the hot water heater Mike determined that we most likely had a hot spot under the slab....a hot water pipe leak in other words.Bright and early the next Monday Mike and his co-worker Miles arrived at our townhouse to commence their leak detection work.It is a very arduous task from what we witnessed and after a few hours using a special device Mike was able to isolate the source of the hot water leak.That's when Miles got stuck in to what he does......hacking out chunks of dry wall in the laundry,the kitchen, our ensuite,the guest bathroom because to fix the hot water leak without ripping up the slab they had to re-route the hot water pipe through the ceiling.This process took a couple of days and then these guys were done.I must say at all times that Mike and Miles were friendly and thoroughly professional carrying out their work.These guys know exactly how to find and fix a water leak problem.Now the next stage of the process was about to start and that was drying out the damp areas and restoring the damage done to the dry walls.That was a job for another company working in tandem with Mike and Miles.We would have no hesitation recommending the guys at Proactive Plumbing.
