CATASTROPHE AVERTED ! We've had a lot of workmen in big heavy trucks coming and going in guest parking beside our garage in the past few weeks while working on our neighbor's place. Last Thursday we noticed water flowing down the shared driveway when there shouldn't have been any water. We thought it might have been a sprinkler malfunction which has happened before. By Friday morning it had turned into flowing stream and we could see water bubbling up through the asphalt just outside our garage. A construction engineer working on a house across the street had a look and said a water pipe had broken for sure. When one of our trade workers came to our house mid morning he checked the water meter out front and it was going around at 100 mph. After turning off the water supply in our house we could see the water meter was still going crazy. The guy then turned off the water supply inside the meter box and the dial didn't move. So we had a serious problem and contacted the last plumber we had used. He was booked out and of course it's early Friday afternoon. We then remembered our neighbor had used a business called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing when she had a slab leak a few months back. A guy named Billy had to do some repair work via our garage wall and then repainted the whole thing. My wife phoned them and they said a company truck would be here by about 3pm on Friday. And then we found out it was Billy from last time so that put us at ease. When he arrived around 3pm Billy got stuck straight into it with his water leak detecting radar device. It took a couple of hours drilling exploratory holes in the asphalt and even digging some deep holes but he finally found the exact spot where the water leak was coming from. Billy told us the 1 1/4 inch flexible PVC pipe had been punctured by impacted debris like a sharp stone. It was the original pipe to the house so that made it quite old. Billy cut out a length of the damaged portion...about 6 inches and then clamped a special sleeve on to connect the pipe ends. It was now 8.30pm and we had water flowing again. Billy said he would come back about 10am on Saturday and finish up. We had to take off to pick up my wife's new Tesla 3 at Tesla in Kearny Mesa and then drive to Newport Beach so we left things in Billy's capable hands and when we returned the guest parking area was pretty much back to it's normal appearance....bar a patch here and there. These guys do great work and do the job properly. Thanks Billy !

From the smallest job of replacing a rusted metal plate under the tank of the toilet to Re-fitting the main line from street to the house Harold B. and his sidekick Derek did a fantastic job. I had visions of my driveway being dug up and the mess that ensues but Harold B. came up w/ a more direct and efficient plan. Love the guy! Thanks sooo much!
