DavidandHeather Szymanski | Started off a pleasant experience by visiting the showroom and picking out our plumbing fixtures for our basement project. I received contractor pricing through the business that I work for, which was great not having to pay standard retail. Overall communication was spotty from Gerhard's on lead times and when we could expect our fixtures. I had to check in every time I wanted an update. 5-6 weeks passed until I received the first shipment expected. Everything was received with the exception of two faucets which were on back order. 2-3 more weeks past and Gerhard's said they have been checking in with the manufacturer but not getting answers and the initial order was lost by one of their vendors. With that said 8 weeks have now passed and they still didn't have any answers on when the two faucets would show up or if they ever would. Overall I do understand they can't control what their suppliers are telling them, however Gerhard's didn't offer any other solutions besides telling me I could go buy the fixtures on Amazon for 250 more than what I already paid at Gerhard's. They would credit back what I paid through Gerhard's, but nothing else. At this point I didn't have any choice but to self source the faucets and pay 250 out of my pocket because Gerhard's wasn't willing to source the faucets themselves from anywhere else. Overall, I was not impressed with the poor customer service or willingness to give me some kind of credit for the hassle of waiting 8 weeks and making me the customer source the faucets and pay an additional 250 out of my pocket. Side note: The faucets that I sourced by myself showed up 2 days after I ordered them online. Buyer beware: Long lead times and poor customer service. |
