Mark Lewis | My wife called this company because we needed our Septic Pumped, and the Clear water tank alarm was going off. They arrived and pumped the first settle tank for 350.00, then looked at the tank that had the clear water alarm going off. The tank was several feet below the top, and sits immediately adjacent to the sand mound. I was at work and my wife requested a quote to correct the issue, which meant replacing the pump. The two individuals informed her that they needed to first pump the tank, for 250, then would charge 800.00 for a new pump, and then another 450 on top for labor. They wanted 1500 dollars. I thought this was absurd and told her that if they could do it for under 1000 for the whole deal it made sense otherwise leave. After doing some research and calling two more reputable companies a gentleman and a helper came to my house from another Septic company, grabbed the rope where the pump was suspended, pulled it up, replaced it with a new pump, same quality for 350.00 and dropped it back in while it pumped the tank down to the proper level. The total bill 520.00. Hallstead Sanitary, Jay Birtch and Brian Birtch tried to overcharge and take advantage of my wife for a cool 1000.00...I strongly advise against using this company. When I attempted to call them to discuss they did not return my calls... Shocker. |
