Gave me an estimate for 2,037 to replace all my plumbing. I waited a month to save money as I had told them I would do. I then decided to have them do just the basics for 400 vs a full replacement and they were glad to do the work although never gave me a written estimate. The day before they were to do the 400 worth of repairs I was told by another company that I had a leak in the water pipe underground in the yard. After finding this out I asked the plumbing works if they could replace the pipe underground and go ahead with the first estimate to just get everything fixed all at once. They told me they wouldn't work with me due to “too many red flags” and for not hiring them fast enough with the first estimate. The boy at the counter said they didn't know how to fix the underground pipe, I personally ruined his upcoming day, and told me to leave the shop and to find another plumber all while being quite condescending. Seemed to come out of nowhere, really. I'd suggest using the more reputable and responsible companies in town.

I have used The Plumbing Works for most of my plumbing jobs since 1991. Never had to call them to repeat a job. Always polite. They work clean without leaving a mess. Payments by check or credit card have all cleared without problem. Each appointment has been kept as promised. Only times I have not used them are when they were scheduled out for many months due to a hard long freeze here in Eugene so many businesses and homes had scheduled repairs. Another time the required installation was not one they had staff to complete. Billings have been as estimated except when obvious old plumbing pipes were corroded badly needing more work inside walls than originally expected. I run a foster home for disabled adults so it is possible I used a plumber a bit more often than most due to poor decisions by brains that are less than optimal. First three installs in 1992 were pressure balanced shower valves to prevent repeated on off faucet play from freezing then scalding people during showers. An excellent upgrade if I might recommend anything.

These gents know their craft. I'm a first time home buyer. Over the years there have been several times where they have saved me a call to a plumber. They know their stuff and they have always been helpful. Doug in particular is awesome. Thanks Plumbing Works!
