I had been having trouble with very high water pressure at my house for years. Several plumbers who came by to work on other jobs tried to find the pressure control / access to a shut off valve at the house and not at the street level, but with no luck. The Hatchett guys did some serious sleuthing and some literal digging and were able to find the access, buried by my front door. They adjusted the water pressure to a safe level, got a new control valve installed, and fixed another broken valve in the house. I really appreciated their hard work and determination, as well as their level of knowledge and ability to explain what they were doing and why. I'll definitely be calling them to handle any future plumbing issues I have.

Hatchett was very quick to respond to my request for assistance. However, I explained we needed new elements in our hot water heater and possibly a thermostat. Jim said, "By the time you pay for that you will be on your way to buying a new hot water heater." I told him it could be replaced if that was necessary and it would cost that much for those items. He came out and brought the new hot water heater. He installed it and charged me 900.00 for something that sells at Lowes, Home Depot for less than 500.00 and then charged me 600.00 for 1 1/2 hours of labor. Sadly that 1700.00 bill I paid did get me hot water but also gouged my checkbook and set me back a months salary. I knew I would spend at least 800.00 possibly. I had no idea it would be double that. I am not to sure about the honestly thing. I think I just got taken to the cleaners. If I had known this, I would have purchased the hot water heater myself and paid a friend to install it for me. Sadly, not much you can do after the work is completed. Still consider myself blessed and grateful! I can sleep at night.
