Initial home inspection was fine. However, my hot water heater started leaking last night and unable to get a response from Gene Romero then or this morning. Called another plumber who was immediate in his response.

Gene was used by the buyer of our house for a home inspection estimate. He reported that our sewer line had not been replaced and was cast iron and that there was also root intrusion. Given that we recently had had the sewer line replaced, this was a surprise. We asked the plumbing company who had replaced our sewer line to come out to our house - they performed a scope and explained that they used a trenchless replacement process, which perhaps Gene was not aware of. The inspection revealed no root intrusion in the sewer pipe. Then to make absolutely sure, the plumber dug up the sewer line exposing the old pipe material that was busted outside of the new HPDE piping that they had inserted. It would certainly appear that Gene was not familiar with this new trenchless technology; our experience with his estimate for our buyer was disappointing.
