RiverCity Man | This outfit came and installed a new shower, toilet, and sink in the basement. To do so, they had to install a new floor drain, which involved breaking up the concrete floor. They left behind all of the broken concrete rather than taking it away. They used OUR large basement trash can to put it in not all of it fit, so some of it was still on the floor. It was so heavy, we nearly could not move it. I don't know if that is normal practice, but we were quite put off by it. After completion, the new floor drain they installed started to back up. I tried to call them, but never got a call back. My parents, who own the house and hired this outfit, also tried to call. The owner said something about being out of town. He never called back. After repeated attempt to get hold of him, we finally gave up and hired someone else to clear out the floor drain. The other guy we hired wound up pulling a couple pounds of concrete out of the new floor drain! He said it looked as if went concrete were put down the drain and it hardened there. He had a lot of trouble breaking it up and bringing it up out of the pipe. Another problem we discovered after completion is the new sink he installs overflows whenever the washing machine upstairs is run. Instead of draining, the water from the washing machine comes up out of the sink drain that he installed in the basement. It water doesn't come up out of the floor drain, but out of the sink drain, which means there is a problem with the new sink drain he installed. In addition, the shower drains very slowly. This I didn't know at first because my son uses the shower. I tried once again to call him, but one of the numbers he has listed sounds like he has a fax machine attached to it, and he does not answer the other number, which is what has been par for the course. He just doesn't pick up when we try to call him. I just tried to call him one more time to give him a chance to fix this, but once again, no answer. I give up, I will now get someone else out here to fix the issues he left behind. |
