If I would give 0 stars I would. I was on my way home one evening when I happened upon road construction on Highway 65. The exit lane I needed had random cones in it and a large opening between two of them. I saw multiple people enter this exit lane between two cones, so I assumed the lane was open and I did the same. Once in the exit lane I noticed I had a vehicle pull in front of me and slow down to try and keep me from going further. The man began yelling profanities at me for "driving like I own his work zone." Had I known the lane was supposed to be closed, or had he told me in some sort of civil manner I would have happily tried to get back on 65 and apologize. The lane was absolutely not marked as closed and rather than trying to explain what was going on, this man immediately began acting belligerent and cursing at me. I somehow managed to remain calm and was able to get the man's name he graciously threw me his card. His name is Adam Goins and he is listed as a superintendent. If anyone happens to read this post from Emery Sapp & Sons, you would do well to get rid of this employee. He acted borderline crazy in the middle of a busy highway and caused much more harm than good with his actions.

My husband and I have been traveling highway 61 between Quincy, and Palmyra for work while your crews have been redoing the roads. They are smooth, and make a more comfortable ride. The lack of organization, signage etc leaves much to be desired. My husband nearly hit one of your workers the other morning. We slow down to 45, if not slower when we head out each day. I do highway work myself. I want to come home every day to my kids. I want your employees going home to their families as well. Signage needs to be up directing traffic before the work begins. I fully understand when you have to switch to the other lanes, signage changes. Today I came up on the switch, the young man was waving me on to go faster, I sped up to 50, he yelled come on, and was approximately a foot from my truck. While I was watching to make sure I didn't clip him, I had to slam on my breaks because there was a dump truck in both lanes.. yet he was wanted me to speed up?!?!? As I said, love the road being nice and smooth. Don't know who messed up that your redoing a section at this time of night. I'm sorry. Better organization, and safety needs to be addressed!
