Plumbing services by Contractors Pipe and Supply in Fraser, Michigan

This is one branch of the wholesaler I like dealing with. Staff is allways helpful, they stock the usual assortment of supplies and material. Note this is a wholesaler, not a retail location. That means this is for licensed contractors that allready know what they want!

Horrible customer service ! Guy behind counter is a douche. He feels he is Better than you! Never will go back .rather drive an hour away.

I rarely do reviews unless the experience is unbelievably bad or good. Unfortunately this one is the bad. I'm not a plumber, just a DIYer. I went in with a faulty shower diverter valve that had a handle stuck on it. Its from an old 3 handle shower valve that I don't know any history on. I do know enough though that there are tons of kinds/brands/sizes of valves. I went to the counter and said I just need help with the diverter because it leaks. The guy without looking at it just quickly says "is it Gerber, all we have is Gerber". I don't know which is one of the reasons I was taking in to a plumbing "specialty" store. I say "how would I tell?". He says, "you need to take the stem out." I say "ok, I took the screw out of the handle, is it just stuck or am I missing something." He says "I dont' know I'm not a plumber". Wow, ok, thanks for the help, neither am I. I thought this was a specialty store with guys who have seen tons of plumbing parts weekly come through their doors and at least can maybe have a suggestion or heck, even LOOK at the valve and give an opinion. Luckily there was another plumbing supply store further up Groesbeck on 15 mile. The guy there dug right in and got the handle off and then sold me a new valve and tools to reinstall. Do yourself a favor and go there instead. Super friendly unlike this place.
