I contracted Snowden to redo our front yard including hydro seeding the lawn and planting multiple trees and shrubs. It was a major investment for us, totally about 12K. Before the project started we observed that the soil in the yard was poor and they agreed to bring in topsoil to aid the new lawn. They also provided a 1 year guarantee to replace any trees or shrubs that die within a year. The landscaping they did turned out nice and was of good quality. However, they rushed the lawn on the last day they were on the job and never brought any topsoil in. By late summer, despite following all watering and fertilization guidelines, the lawn was patchy and looked no better than when they started. The only area that looked nice was the area by the landscaping where they had brought in a small load of topsoil to plant the trees and shrubs. After numerous calls over multiple weeks they finally came back and spent a half hour spreading a couple of buckets of topsoil and some grass seed in sporadic locations. The following summer, 75 of the front yard was dead grass and we had 7 dead Barberry bushes. We called in June to tell them the bushes were dead. They assured us they would come out and replace them. Nobody showed. After numerous calls all summer, they finally tell us in September that, due the lateness of the season, they can't get the bushes anymore and they just gave us 37 per bush, which was the retail cost. So, after having dead bushes all summer, I need to go buy some next spring and plant myself. They sent the refund via certified mail with a letter that contained a bunch of lies regarding the situation. A total CYA move. Pathetic. Terrible customer service and no follow through on promises and guarantee's. The only reason they are still in business is that they only do government work now.
