Plumbing services by O.G. Croteau Plumbing & Heating in Fitchburg, Massachusetts

I don't ever talk badly about small businesses but after being a customer of OG Crouteau for the past 15 years, I am actively looking for a new plumber. Without getting into too many details, don't expect them to communicate when they can't deliver. As a landlord, I find out from my tenants that they didn't fix a heating issue. In this particular instance, they needed an additional part, however this was never communicated to me and I certainly was not told that my tenants would go another night without heat. That makes me look bad. Only after talking to their after hours on call plumber who is great did I find out what was going on. Customers deserve better and in a time when there a multitude of ways to communicate with customers, this is totally unacceptable. I have shared my frustrations with the office staff in the past, but nothing changes. I am available to speak to the owner if they are interested in hearing my thoughts on how they can improve their customer service.

I had O.G. Croteau install my new on demand gas water heater. The project required new gas lines propane , up-sizing some existing water lines and removing the old electric water heater. They were very professional, did a great job and cleaned everything up when they were done. A few weeks later I had them come back and install an additional gas line for a new gas dryer and for a grill on my deck. Again, very professional and everything looks and works great. I think the hourly rate is a fair rate and they work quickly. The only complaint I have is the price of the material seems to be marked up a bit more than it should be reason for 4-stars. My guess is that the percent markup on material is similar to other plumbing companies. Overall, I think they did a great job and plan to use them again in the future if I need a plumber.

They arrived promptly, did a professional job, and pricing was reasonable.
