Tim Smith of Charles Deweese Construction placed an advertisement on Indeed for a quarry manager job and I responded to it. Tim wanted me to come to Franklin, KY for an interview so I drove there, a distance taking about 6 hours to cover one way. After the interview Tim told me to send him receipts and he would reimburse me for travel. I emailed the receipts and the mileage as I would with any interview but no reimbursement came. I emailed Tim and left messages at his office for three weeks but no reimbursement showed up and no email or phone call was ever returned. I finally decided to call his cell phone number and he answered. He made the claim that he had never agreed to reimburse me for travel but I pointed out that he had. He made the claim that he didn't know that it was interview etiquette to pay the interviewee for travel expenses. While this held little water, I pointed out that it was customary and he said that he would make sure and pay me. I waited another two weeks and the result was no returns from emails I sent and no reimbursement. If you are responding to Tim's ad on Indeed and are looking up Charles Deweese Construction, please keep in mind the character and nature of the person with whom you are dealing. If he is so cheap and dishonest that he will not pay a 450 reimbursement for an interview that he requested then what is he like as a manager? What is the company like if the head of it has this little integrity? Beware dealing with Tim Smith and Charles Deweese Construction.

Deweese did a great job. Whatever these guys tell you you can take it to the bank. When they tell you they will be there they will unless something comes up and then their gracious enough to call. I wouldn't call Scotty's for anything
