Barrett Bradshaw | Recently purchased carpet for our living room, hallway, and 2 flights of steps. Although the carpet looks great, the installation process was a nightmare. When told the carpet would be installed before Christmas, the installers called with an after Christmas date. We had to work through that issue by agreeing to remove the furniture from the rooms ourselves. On the day of the installation, the installers showed up late and unprepared. One had to make a trip to the store to purchase seam tape and tack strips while the other began tearing up the old carpet. In addition, I had to make a trip to the store to purchase the transitional pieces between the carpet and the tile/wood flooring - an additional 65. When the installers finished, he took several of the nails that I bought "for his next job." I feel they created a seam in the carpet that didn't need to be there. The installation took a total of 7 hours. Several cigarette buds were left on our porch, driveway and yard as the installers took several breaks throughout the process. At least they finished the job as it was 10:30pm when they finally finished. |
