Katie Carr | This company was hired by TotalProtect, my home warranty company, to check out my furnace. It stopped working last spring. I contacted them to make sure that they worked on gravity he furnaces. The young lady that I talk to assured me that they did if it was natural gas. I asked her to check with the technician to make absolutely sure he or she was familiar with them. They came out when I wasn't home so my sister let them in. The report that he submitted stated that the filter was very dirty and that it was installed incorrectly. This type of furnace does not have a filter and it was installed in the 40s. I don't know what the code was that. Other items in the report lead me to believe that he actually was not familiar with fixing this type of furnace. Because of his report TotalProtect would not honor the warranty. When I called them after talking to TotalProtect, to ask them to amend the report so it had correct information on it, I was basically told maybe maybe not. But it wouldn't make any difference anyway. Because of the customer service and the lack of knowledge of the technician I would not recommend using this company. |
