Plumbing services by Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling in Fort Wayne, Indiana

I have had Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling out two times. First time was for a plumbing issue. The two men that came out were very nice and fixed the issue right away. The second time was for heating. Jeff has very helpfully and personable. I highly recommend Summers I'm on there monthly plan and it's nice to have a peace of mind knowing that they are only a phone call away.

I recently had a gas line installed by Summers in a house I just purchased. The day after the work was done I went to the house and the garage and house was filled with the smell of gas. I panicked and instead of calling the gas company called Summers. It took 45 minutes for someone to return my call. He said he was busy but would swing by the house and turn the gas off. I said I would call the gas company and he said if you do that they will put a pin in the meter and you won't have gas until they come back and remove the pin. He said I would be without heat and the pipes might freeze. I think he was afraid of what the gas company would say. Again I should have called the gas company but I waited for him to come shut off the gas for me. He never came but 45 minutes later another man called and said he would be out as soon as he got dressed and could get there. It was 2 hours after I arrived at the house that someone got there and fixed the problem. Apparently the man that installed the gas line did not tighten one connection and gas leaked for 24 hours. I assumed the owner of the company would call and apologize to me but after a week I have not heard from anyone with this company. I have called several times and left messages but no returns the call. I still think I deserve an apology and a refund to cover the cost of the gas that leaked and my inconvenience and panic over the leak. I am sorry I did not call the gas company because this could have turned out very badly. And I wonder if the gas company would have filed a complaint against Summers. I am reporting this to the BBB too since no one at this company seems to care. I would never use them again. I would have given them a minus grade if I could.
