They came out the following week and installed the pump , I was charged 600.00 . I checked the price of the pump at several places it was from 160.00 to 200.00 with free shipping. I called Capital Plumbing and asked what their markup was ,she was reluctant to say. I told her it is usually between 15 and 25 , she said they have a 35 markup. I told her you charged me 150 markup on pump, she said pump was 260.00 plus tax and overnight shipping 100.00 total 373.00. Told her you charged me 420.00 which is a 150 markup. She said “ so “ , you paid it . Make sure you check other plumbers prices on parts and charge for getting a estimate which is usually free not 90.00 , and then 90.00 an hour plus 150 markup on parts for the repair. |
