Ran into an issue with information, given to me by a tool rental associate, that basically made me have to use the equipment another day and waste money and time. All I asked was for another day with the equipment to complete the project. I talked to several associates until finally this morning speaking to, I assume, an assistant store manager named “AK?” His English was poor and his customer service skills over the phone at least were pathetic. He didn't let me get a word in edgewise and let me explain the situation until I finally had to stop him talking. He obviously had his script memorized and spouted it off without ever formally addressing the actual situation and dealing with me accordingly. Offered me 4 hours when the drive to the job. Is almost 3 and basically blamed me saying I didn't have to follow the associates advice. It's sad. I am a former Home Depot employee and a long time customer and contractor. If this is what this store and this company puts on their front line As a person of authority and customer service then they need to re-evaluate their training and hiring/promoting process.
