Sonya Dooley | I would not give one star on this company, but that's the only way that I could write this review. We had issues with our sink not draining very well on Weds. Feb. 19. My husband tried everything he could to fix the problem, only to realize that our septic tank needed to be pumped out. On Thurs. Feb. 20 he called JL Adams Plumbing and Rooter to set up their services. We were scheduled to have them here on Monday Feb. 24. This was understandable seeing how they are a very busy company. We could make do those few days. Around 2pm or maybe a little after on Monday, my husband called to make sure they were still coming. He was informed that we were "second" on the list that they were really backed up due to a truck breaking down on Friday and they may not make it that day, but would definitely be there on Tuesday. A little aggravated, we decided, ok, we've made it this long, what's another day? Tuesday came around and worried that we would not see them again, I called around 11am or so to see what number we were in line. The lady who answered the phone was anything but helpful. She informed me that we were "fifth" on the list and they have just been so backed up that they may not make it today. I reminded her that we were "second" on the list on Monday and that we really needed our tank fixed because at this point, we couldn't even flush the toilets. She pretty much told me that everyone was having these problems and that they would get to me late, late that evening if they were able. The rain had put them so far behind. She wasn't the least bit friendly either. Customer service at its finest. At this point, I am wondering if they are this busy and so far behind, why not maybe work a little later in the day, or maybe even a few hours on the weekend? Now it's Wednesday Feb 26. It's been almost a week that we set up their services. I called around 12 noon to hopefully get the good news that today was the day. Not so much to my surprise, I was "fourth" on the list today. So I asked how I went from second, to fifth and now to fourth in line? She explained that they go by location. Still wondering why I was still being put off even though my appointment was for Monday, I explained to her again that we really needed our tank pumped, she kept saying, " I know, I know," "we are trying our best to get to you today." Not once did I ever receive a call to let me know that they couldn't make it. I had to call them each day to find out anything. I finally decided that they had no intentions of coming anytime soon, so luckily, I had called Anderson Pumping & Septic service on Tuesday and the very helpful and professional lady told me they would do their best to work me in on Weds. If not Weds, then they would be here on Thursday. I was a little skeptical at first, but they came on Weds, even though they were very busy too and helped us out. That's what I consider, "doing our best." I do not recommend J L Adams Plumbing & Rooter to anyone. I try to understand that I am not the only customer they have, but I also know that my money wasn't as good as the rich folks or businesses to them. |
