We had a water leak in our home study. Water was collecting under a plastic chair mat that had been placed to protect a wood floor. The first company sent to our home by the insurance company could not detect the source after removing the flooring. American Leak Detection ALD was recommended by a friend, and they found the source of the leak within one hour. The leak was slow because of the location, but we learned that a plastic chair mat can act like a suction cup and pull the water into wood flooring. NOTE: You do not need a leak to have this happen as cement floors in FL naturally hold water. The ALD representative was very professional and responsive. He took his time to explain the situation to me and also walked around the house with me to look for other potential areas that could cause trouble in the future. I would recommend ALD!
