Can't say enough good things about Doug. Had a water heater fail last night. Left him a message at 7am, not expecting him to return the call till after 8am when he opened but he returned the call almost immediately. Told him the issue and he came out after his 8am appointment. he looked and determined i needed a new water heater based on where it was leaking, and I already knew that before he got here. he looked and gave me an estimate on the spot and said he could start immediately. He didn't take an hour to write out a detailed estimate, he just gave me a bottom line price which was WAY less than the big shops. We agreed on a handshake and 3 hours later, new water heater and the price was the price we shook on. I love doing business this way with honest, small business owners. We called Doug because he was local to Ken Caryl and we had a plumbing leak dripping through the drywall ceiling in our basement coming from the kitchen sink / dishwasher. He did a couple of tests and determined the problem was most likely a backup that cleared itself and said he didnt want to just destroy our basement ceiling chasing a ghost. He suggested we call back if it happened again and there was no charge for the trip. The leak happened again a few days later and Doug was able to quickly find the source this time - a hole drilled through the line by speaker cable installers fortunately high enough up the pipe that it would only be a problem if the line backed up - and was able to fix it with minimal drywall removal. We appreciated working with Doug and will call him again for future plumbing projects / emergencies.
