Do NOT call Blackman for leak detection services. When their plumber was trying to find our leak, he said his equipment didn't work very well. He was unable to determine where it was, after cutting a hole in the stucco behind the bathroom, ran out of time and scheduled another appointment. Upon return, the solution he offered was to cut a hole in the bedroom wall, and several holes in the bedroom ceiling, to run overhead plumbing to the other bathroom, at an estimated cost of over 3000. Not trusting that the leak was actually in the bedroom wall, since his equipment was not reliable, and not wanting more unnecessary holes to patch, I called American Leak Detection in San Diego. They come down once a week to Imperial Valley, but it was worth the wait. The technician had very sophisticated equipment stethoscope etc., and many years of experience finding leaks. In a short period of time, he had traced the leak, and repaired it for about half the cost, including the drive down and back from San Diego, with one small hole cut in the OTHER bedroom. I would give them 5 stars! Blackman still expected me to pay the 250 for the NON leak detection, because "it's not 100 guaranteed that they will find the leak". So if you want your leak found, don't call them!
