Silvi Nells | Since moving across town into a manufactured home, we've used Royal Plumbing as they were recommended from the admin office. We, my family and I, even purchased our water heater through them last year in March. So, until yesterday, I've had no issues utilizing them as a plumbing resource for our plumbing needs. Yesterday our hot water stopped working gave only cold water when turned on and I called Royal Plumbing at 10:49 am. No one wants to smell like a sour potato for work and I wanted a shower. My call was forwarded to Rudy Lozano - the on call plumber for the weekend. He answered, seemed nice enough. He said it would be double the cost to come out on a weekend - 216. Yikes. I told him we'd purchased our water heater through Royal last year and he said he'd call up the front office to confirm and see what he could do to reduce the cost. I thought okay, great. In the meantime, he asked that I send a photo of our water heater so he could determine if it was gas or electric. If gas, he thought maybe the pilot light may just need to be re-lit or that it needed to be turned up. I sent the photo. He called back at 11:21am, said it's a gas water heater and that he could swing by and check the pilot light, re-light it if needed and see if anything else was amiss, at no charge. Amazing, right? I said sure, that's amazing, thank you so much! So, we waited. And, waited. And, waited some more. I had a meeting that I needed to go to before work. At 12:38 pm, I called the RP listed number once more, Rudy again answered, I asked what time I should expect him to drop by as I had things I needed to take care of. He replied that he would head our way in 15-20 minutes. I thought okay, he should be here by 1pm. I had rescheduled my meeting to 1pm. I texted him on the cell number he gave me and asked that he call/text my son when he arrived so my son could meet him outside and assist if needed. He texted back 'ok'. I went to my meeting. I got home around 3:30 pm, asked my son if the plumber had shown up and if our water was fixed. He said no one had called, no one messaged and no one showed up. Odd, I thought. I checked my phone, no messages no phone call, no follow up whatsoever. Disappointment. By this time, I was figuring out who to call that was not Royal Plumbing. I figured I'd give it more time as I had made my meeting and took care of what I needed to. I had decided to work the next day as this issue needed to be resolved so my family could have hot water. Still, no phone call and the minutes turned into hours. I cooked dinner, ate, watched a few episodes of Strong Girl Bong-Soon on Netflix. Nada. I called E&S Plumbing. Gabe answered the call. I asked about weekend rates - he said it's 105 Mon-Fri and 150 for a Sat/Sun. I told him he may hear from me tomorrow - Sunday. I called Royal Plumbing - yes, again - in the proximity of 8:45 pm. One of my faults is loyalty, so sue me. Rudy answered, again. I asked what happened as we hadn't seen hide nor hair of him since the initial call / photo exchange from the morning hours - he responded that he had gotten caught up in an emergency with FMC. Okay, plausible. No problem. I just wanted to know why he couldn't have notified us via text or a quick phone call. Not sure, as I never really got an answer. He seemed upset and said he could head over 'right now' and it 'will cost you 162'. I told/reminded him he had agreed to come out 'at no charge', his words. He said, 'I told you on my time, if i came out on MY TIME, there would be no charge.' Not once, did the words, "...ON MY TIME.." ever leave his lips and travel through the phone line when he agreed to swing by and help us out and I told him as much. He tried to talk over me. He was upset, I get it. But, so was I. I then asked for a manger's number - he gave me the main number to the office. I called and left a complaint. SO, lesson learned. Royal Plumbing in Contacts? DELETED. I think E&S Plumbing will be hearing from us a lot more for 2020 and beyond. |
