| Theo Watcher | I called Ridge Plumbing at about 10AM and spoke to his wife; she said he Junior would call back in 15 minutes after he fed the chickens. When he called back, he said he could repair the broken pipe that I described to him and that he would be over to my house shortly. About an hour later, he came over and looked at the broken pipe and agreed to repair it, but he suddenly couldn't get back until 4:30 PM. What a surprise! He gave me his cell phone number and told me it was okay to cut out the ruptured pipe and go to the hardware store to buy the couplings and fittings for the repair. After cutting out the pipe, and I returned from purchasing the needed parts, I called him and told him I had them and asked how much his estimate would be. He said he charges 85 per hour and that he may have to charge me for the first trip that morning but would have to check with his wife. Then at 5PM he calls me back and said that he couldn't do the job today and would not guarantee his work from leaks because of the dampness in the air. OMG--Why didn't he say this at 10AM this morning!! I ended up calling another plumber who told me that it is doubtful that this plumber is licensed or registered and would not recommend working with someone who would not warranty his work. PLEASE, for your own good--Stay away from this plumber--he is a scammer!!! |
