Maple Valley Design Build was excellent, ably leading us through the process of creating a quality custom home. Greg Boshart had a thoughtful and skilled approach in all project phases from design to construction. His top priority is building a home that meets the specific priorities and hopes of the client with an eye to good architecture. Greg clearly articulates the pros, cons, and considerations of various decisions and is open to discussing alternative ideas and fine-tuning the design. The Project Manager, Jeff Paul, worked closely with us on our energy efficiency goals, ardently overseeing the insulation and air sealing aspects which resulted in a tight envelope and an Energy Star certified zero net energy home. Jeff was committed to working through build options and solutions and proposed some novel ideas that gave our home a few special finishing touches. There were some challenges around project budgeting and management, though MVDB worked with us in a transparent and sincere manner to address any concerns. The build team was wonderful - kind, hard-working, tidy, with professional carpentry expertise and a genuine attention to detail.

Maple Valley Design Build designed and constructed two major projects in our home. One was an inside staircase and finished walls in our basement, which have turned it into attractive and usable space. The other was a main-floor laundry and pantry in our kitchen, created by bumping out through our garage wall. Greg was always responsive, the cost was fair, and every subcontractor did work of exceptional quality. Based on my experience, I highly recommend this architect.
