I went to the service desk in the back and put together a delivery order for cedar boards to be delivered to our house 8 days later. They told me that my order would be loaded and sent out first thing on the day of promised delivery. The day of delivery comes and it is 9am and I have not heard from Hoovers, so I call them. After being sent back and forth between desk a lady finds my order still hanging on a board. She does not know when they will deliver it. At around 11am I get a call from a man from Hoovers who tells me that they have hardly any of the items in stock. Really, seriously, you had over a week to get in stock what I need or least call a day or two ahead of the projected delivery date to let me know something. I had to go get what I needed from two different places, because I had a contractor starting the next day. Hoovers, you have some serious management problems when systems are not in place to take care of customers and to make sure you have inventory.

This place is great! I am a local resident and shop here regularly. Staff has a lot more knowledge than your run of the mill big box store and are friendly. Awesome outdoor lumber yard. Support your local hardware store. Prices are generally competitive, sometimes even cheaper, than Lowe's or Home Depot.
