I came and looking for A single 1x2x8, I had a very nice man help me, there was not very many to choose from and the one I ended up with was not straight, as none were straight . This man told me I would receive a discount due to this fact. Upon checkout I requested the discount from the lady at the check out stand and she rung me up and verbally denied me the discount because "no one told her". Since I requested the given discount first thing putting my stuff on the counter, she probably should have called to verify the provided discount, rather then denying me of it. I probably won't be back sadly. Very poor customer service on her part.

I bought property in Priest River and wanted to check out this hardware store. To make some purchases. The staff inside around the store were absolutely superb, but I wanted to buy 20 two-by-fours. And was told I needed to go to the back counter in the store I was like okay thank you, and I proceeded back. I already had about 200 of stuff in my shopping cart. There was an older thin balding gentleman at the counter. Trying everything you could do, to ignore me. Seemed put off, to the fact I was standing there waiting to ask a question. I kind of chalked it up to maybe he was having, a bad day. But he kept fiddling around with his computer, would look up at me and nothing. Then picked up his phone, put into his ear held it there for a while, but didn't call anybody, then put it back down. Starting to gruff his voice at back of his throat, then finally asked can I help you? Being very rude with his tone and demeanor. I was asking about prices for 6' 2x4s checking for the price of standards and econo. He looks at me and goes standards what you mean, and now the gruffness and his voice is getting louder and deeper and he starting to glare at me at this point. Now at this point in time, I no longer care if he is having a bad day, there's no excuse. He is now making me feel scared and uneasy, so I said I'm sorry, I moved here from Washington State, and a standard means a mid-range. After that was settled, he precedes to give me the price for the Econo boards only. Now as I was not familiar with their set up, as this being the first time I've ever walked into their business. I said do I go back and select the boards, or do you guys select the boards. The man looked at me rolled his eyes and increase the volume and tone of his voice and said you get what we give you!!! And the boards are approximate, and may vary!!! I just looked at him and said, really ok thank you for your time, and walk away. I did do, my purchases for the rest of the store. It's sad to say, because of issue was the one person, I'm not sure if I will go back. I'm in the process of building a barn, a cabin, a full homestead. But that's okay, I'm sure there's other businesses out there, that would be happy to take my money, and not treat me so rudely.
