It has taken a year of living in a New Leaf home to realize all the issues this brand new house came with. 1 Took forever to get warranty repairs done - and there were a couple dozen of them. 2 Their cabinet guy still has never showed up to do any of his repairs. 3 Yard doesn't drain properly. 4 Septic tank is too close to the house which eliminates any possibilities of building an outdoor fire pit. 5 Furnace can't keep up with the winter temperatures outside. In fact, every morning we wake up the house is 60, even though the Heat is set to 70. Tried installing a Nest thermostat but now realize the furnace is definitely the issue. 6 The tankless water heater is a joke. Takes 15 minutes to heat the water in our master shower. Upstairs showers/sinks never get above luke warm. 7 Half of our attic is inaccessible because they forgot to build a ladder connecting the two sides - you have to walk out on the 20' tall roof and climb in through a window and jump 6 feet down to access. 8 They left us with heaps of cut down trees in our backyard so we had to pay a contractor 2k to come out to remove them. My recommendation would be to use your hard-earned money elsewhere. There are plenty of great builders out there - don't settle for this one.

We built a custom home with New Leaf Homes in 2014. We have had to have major repairs done due mistakes they made. A couple include having both of our basement bathroom floors jack hammered to move a toilet that was so close to the wall we couldn't get our hand between it and the wall to clean it. The other bathroom had what the contractor called a "speed bump" in the floor of the shower that went clear out to the front of the bath tub. The whole oversized shower had to be gutted to the studs, the floor jackhammered and redone. 33 of our custom windows have to be replaced due to severe scratches all over them. We waited for over a year for them to replace 23 of them and are still waiting for the last 10 to be replaced almost 2 years later. That's just 3 of over 30 major issues they have yet to resolve. That doesn't include the poor workmanship through out the house on trimwork. The president of New Leaf Homes, Mark Conway, is unresponsive. This is a rampant problem in our beautiful neighborhood.

New Leaf Homes Canoe Club Fayetteville GA. Before building our home we met three neighbors who were all part of a letter being drafted for a law firm filing a grievance against New Leaf for poor service/follow up after closing. Discussed this with New Leaf's onsite foreman MJ and he assured us this had been addressed by adding more staff. Been nearly a month since closing and lights from the punch list have still not be installed, creaky floors were not fixed and the lot drainage had not been properly engineered. Recently Apr 2017 two adjacent lots had been posted as "Stop Work" by the Fayette County Environmental Management staff.
