John Tokash | In May I contacted Fletcher because I was having a problem with one of the 3 ductless systems they installed for me several years earlier. In our guest home where my sister lives, she was having a problem with one of the two units they installed at the same time. In my home the issue was that the condensate pump that carries the water to the end of the house had stopped working causing the tray to overflow and leaks water into the home. The one in the guest house would run for a minute and then shut down. Fletcher came out and diagnosed, my unit needed a pump which I had told them and the other unit needed a motherboard, parts would take about two weeks. After three weeks when I hadn't heard from them I called and was told the parts weren't in yet, they would contact me when they arrived.Waited until the end of July until I called again about the parts. I was told they were in and they didn't know why no one called to schedule the install. I scheduled with them to install the following week. The tech installed the pump, went to the other unit and stated that there was a second board that needed to be installed and that both should have been ordered at the same time. It would take about two weeks. Now he obviously didn't check the operation of the pump in the first unit because after a couple hours and after the tray had time to fill from condensation, it started dumping water on my floor again. The next day I called Fletcher and asked for a supervisor or manager so I could explain the debacle that took place. I was put on the phone with Brian. I thought he would at least offer to send someone the next day to at least get the one running properly with the pump, after all it is the end of JULY and a/c would be nice. Instead I was told he would personally keep track of my parts order and keep me in the loop and as soon as the part came in they would be out for both units. Two weeks later I received a call from a young lady telling me Brian asked her to call to let me know the parts weren't in yet. That was the mid-August, here it is the end of OCTOBER, summer is long over. Five months after my initial call to Fletcher, I have no calls, no parts and no A/C. Oh yeah, forgot to mention the two service calls cost me 290.00 and nothing was fixed. At least I can still use my unit to subsidize my heat, however my sister in the guest house won't be so fortunate. I doubt I'll get any mileage out of this comment. I'll start early next year looking for competent help with these units. |
