John was referred to me by a neighbor eight years ago and I have never looked back. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly has a lot of integrity. I have referred him to some of my friends and they swear by him too!

We had slow running bathroom sink and tub drains in our guest bathroom. I called John Rowland Plumbing, having used them in the past, to clear the drains. John came out on 7/16, checked under the house bathroom waste lines were within 5 feet of the access and opted not to use the cast iron clean-out under the house, instead snaking the tub drain from the bathroom to resolve the clog. Afterwards, John showed me that the tub and sink were draining. I received the bill for 113 to clear the clogged drains on 7/31 and promptly paid it. 3 weeks later I happened to check under the house to find a large wet, muddy area where water from the guest bathroom tub/sink had been draining on the ground from the tub trap which had been broken during the snake process. I called John back out to replace the broken cast iron trap. After replacing the trap, the drains tub and sink were still not draining. It took John a total of 3 hours 1 hour which was to go get parts that he didn't have on his truck to replace a 2-foot section of cast iron pipe with ABS, using 3 no hub couplings in order to replace the plugged up section of waste-line. Two months later, I received a bill for 391 for replacing the trap and replacing a section of 2" waste line which resolved the clogged drain issue, which I had already paid to "clear". I spoke with both John and Shirley Rowland, stating that I was willing to pay for the broken trap replacement old, cast iron, pay for the hour of plumber labor to fetch parts he didn't have on the truck and pay for the two hours for replacing the clogged section of pipe + parts total 391, BUT I WAS NOT COMFORTABLE with already having paid for the first call 113 to unsuccessfully clear the clog and break the trap, to which John stated "it was draining". Yes, draining all over the ground, not through the waste line as expected. I've shared this review directly with John Rowland Plumbing on the "Contact Us" section of their web site and have paid the 2nd billing of 391.

John Rowland Plumbing recently installed an Instant Hot Water System for us. It is so great and John did a tremendous job, not only in the work itself but was on time, quick and cleaned everything up when he was done. John has been our plumber for years and everything he has done has been first-rate. Shirley Rowland runs the office and is as knowledgeable about plumbing as John is. Quite the team!
